The Arduino Forum

I'm really not very good with these things..

It's not that I'm not opinionated, it's just that chatrooms & the like tend to put me off - it's like have a tedious slo-mo phone conversation (& I don't even like ordinary phone conversations).

I spose it's more like email really.. I use to clear my email Every Day, but I'm not so much into that nowadays

  1. ..& as for Twitter, & Tweets & the like: I'll stick to Texting; at least it's comparatively cheap!

    I DON'T have a video-enabled mobile (tho I WILL get one with a camera; they're no more expensive than a actual-factual camera, & a lot more useful)

    Various of my friends want me to open a FaceBook page: I DON'T WANT A FACEBOOK PAGE - I don't want to have to fill it with lies about myself coz I don't trust them one tiny bit.. I've heard stories about people trying to unFaceBook themselves >:-<<

  2. ..& yes You-Tube is fun. But I have the most tedious broadband link on the planet!! On dial-up I was lucky to get 5kbs on a download, now I'm lucky to get 25kbs so you can imagine how boring You-Tube is..

    ..not to mention the Viruses. Only had the odd one or two lately, but a few months ago I had a whole bloody plague of the bastards; they eventually karked my OS & I had to re-install. Now I have to find my printer CDROM (buried in the Chaos that is my bed/work/computer/breakfast room {derrrh!}

  3. I'm fairly sure that my slo-mo BB link is due to the old (my)self-installed phone extension I put put into my bedroom last century.. It was probably Cat3 or Cat4 at best, & I didn't know squat about lossy connections when I was doing it.

    There's so much junk under the house now it'd be a major expedition replacing it (even tho I've got a bit of 'up-market' cable for the job, I think it's Cat5) & yes Dave I'll be far more careful with my terminations this time :-D
